About Me: I am the associate publisher of Dancer magazine and danceruniverse.com. I am a former dancer, dance teacher and have a couple degrees (in dance). I grew up in Jacksonville, FL where I attended Douglas Anderson School of the Arts as a dance major and have also (in prehistoric times) been known to be a competitive dancer. Once I started high-school I fell in love with modern dance and never looked back. I attended undergrad in NYC and earned my Master's degree in Dance Studies in London shortly after. What does a 22 year old do with two degrees in dance? LOL (MY PARENTS WERE CERTAINLY SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS) Luckily, I fell into publishing (stumbled actually) in my quest to find my groove. Well, with two superstar salespeople for parents, I took to it like a fish in water. Go figure. I love everything about what I do! I am stoked to have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the dance community and be a part of this fantastic team that churns out this dance publication and fabulous new concept in dance on the internet. I am passionate about working with all aspects of the dance industry. On the off chance that I am not working on the site or the magazine, I enjoy going to live performances, "beaching it" and spending time with my family (the dude, Ping Pong the puggle and pigeon and strummer my two cats).
