My Bio: Elena's love of dance began at the early age of three, and started to train seriously at the age of six at The Rock School for Dance Education. She performed in numerous productions with the Pennsylvania Ballet, including The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Collaborations, and A Midsummer Nights Dream. Later, she was invited to attend the Princeton Ballet Summer Intensive, the South Carolina Summer Dance Conservatory, and was selected as a dance scholar in 2003 for the New Jersey Governors School of the Arts under the direction of Kathryn Kearns. In 2008, Elena graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, magna cum laude with a BFA in Dance. During her four years she studied with Katie Langan, Pat Catterson, Denise Vale and performed in Forced Entry, an original work by Anthony Ferro. Additionally, Elena choreographed three pieces for BFA students which were selected to be performed for the Dancers At Work Showcase. Also during her college career, Elena had the unique opportunity to work with many prestigious arts organizations such as Buglisi Dance Theatre and 321 Theatrical Management. Also, upon graduation she received a personal training certification from the American Aerobic Association International & International Sports Medicine Association (AAI/ISMA). Elena's teaching credits include, ballet, lyrical, and jazz instructor for The Dance Academy in Cherry Hill NJ, creative movement and modern instructor for The Philadelphia Dance Academy, and strength training and modern instructor for Fusion School of Dance, Music and Acting in Cherry Hill, NJ. She is also a personal trainer, and is always eager to help clients that are serious about dance training and want to improve their technique and artistry.
