Terry Hazel

My Bio: My career in the world of dance began in the studio, as a teacher and choreographer. After working extensively in the United States, I took my craft to more exotic locales, including Egypt and South America. In Peru, I taught the Royal Academy of Dancing (RAD) ballet syllabus at the Peruvian American Cultural Center. In Cairo, Egypt, I led classes for the British International School and later opened my own studio in Cairo. In 2005, I participated in the international arena again when my company, On Stage America, was selected to form the dance team that represented the USA at the International Cultural Arts Festival in Beijing, China. In 2006, Dance Spirit magazine appointed me to their advisory board. I partnered with my husband, George, in 1991 to engineer our brainchild: On Stage America. George contributed the wealth of organizational and managerial skills he acquired during a celebrated career with the U.S. Foreign Service. The Hazel team successfully combined Terry's artistic talents and George's executive genius to produce a dance competition unparalleled on the circuit today.
