My Bio: I received the core of my ballet training at Pittsburgh Ballet. At the age of 19, I was hired as a dancer in the corps de ballet of what has become the world-renowned Miami City Ballet and danced with them for two seasons. From there I moved to Philadelphia where I worked with the modern dance company Convergence. I was with them as a principal dancer for ten years and was fortunate to work with international choreographers Neshela Yatkin and Grey Veredin. It was during this time that I began to teach, first as a substitute for the company class, then on a regular basis. Once I started, I could not stop. Breaking a complicated step down to its bare essence and being able to convey that to another is an amazing feeling. Then, as luck would have it, I was introduced to Sara Taylor Neal, and ballet was back in my life. I am now th Artistic Director of Mid-Atlantic Ballet in Newark Delaware, and still dance professionally with the MAB company and the Philadelphia based modern company SHARP.
