Round 1 is here! Who is making it to Round 2?
Round 1 is close to the end. It's the last few moments before the TOP 25 become the Top 20.
Round 1 consisted of the 25 semifinalists learning a combo choreographed by Emily Shock. She posted her video that explained the movement on YouTube. The 25 then recorded a video of themselves doing the combo. The general public on YouTube then has to cast a vote. Voting ends Monday at midnight (Central Time). The voting public can vote for as many of the contestants as they wanted but they can only vote once for each video.
In the rest of this blog you will find the video of each contestant's entry in the order of when then entered it.
End Your Carbo Confusion
So many people fear carbohydrates. Depending on where you get your nutritional advice, you might have learned that carbohydrates are the enemy of fitness. But this isn't true, especially for dancers.
If you're always avoiding carbohydrates, getting the right facts could improve your performance.
It's time to figure out how many carbs you really need.
In the Mood for Something New?
When taking open classes in New York City, sometimes it's so tiring to show up early, warm up, and claim a "good" spot at the barre, just to find that you are one of about 80 (or so it seems) who have beat you to it. The classes are often overcrowded, especially in the morning during prime time, and it's hard enough to find a place to stand, never mind any personal attention from the teacher. In no way am I suggesting a semi-private lesson, but perhaps, some newer, spacious studios with different teachers to spice up the every day class routine.

Today let me introduce Amberlee. There are so many great ways to describe her, but I will leave you with the fact that she is very talented and that I love my Amberlee.
