In my search to bring you fun dance clips I have come across some rather clever advertisements that involve or are about dance. So sit back, enjoy and try to keep your credit cards in your wallets! (well in the case of the Atlanta Ballet...........go buy a ticket)
I thought this was just hilarious!!!!!

So I have been collecting clips from YouTube over the past few months. I have a little database going. This week I turn your attention to music videos. I don't know about you guys, but having grown up in the MTV generation, music videos really opened up the world of dance for me. I have not seen the following are videos on television. Then again I do not watch music television. Do they even play videos anymore? Some are independent music videos (meaning not the official video for the song) and for me, all of them blend the art of dance and film in a way that makes me all warm and fuzzy on this cold winter day.
This week's topic......Dance in music videos (the Dolly D. playlist)

It is officially December and that means it is Learn a Foreign language month. For some (obviously not you guys) dance is a foreign language. Since I know we all speak the same language here.....I thought I would kick off the month by sharing some fabulous dance clips from afar. So go ahead, and learn a new dance dialect!
This week's topic..............Dance dialects
Matt Harding Dancing around the world. This guy gets around and though his technique in the traditional sense is unorthodox, shakin what his mother gave him certainly adds a little something to the global landscape. (I HEART RANDOM ACTS OF UNIVERSAL DANCING).

This week: the 80's
Whitney was my very first inspiration and what brought me to dance at an early age. The first, but due to my ability to sleep through anything (including outside the studio on acro mats while a live accompanist plays not last) concert I ever attended and fell asleep during.
Gotta love the Saftey Dance. See if you can get it out of your head or see if you can sing it more than twice in a row without making up your own words. One of my favorite past-times around the house.
Mr. T knows what he is talking about. Always has. Always will. He pities the fool and shouldn't we all? Shouldn't we all.
Well that's it for this week. Check back soon and often for more fun......and let me know if you think I am rad or totally not rad.
Yours in Dance,
Dolly D.
