Dancing With the Stars Injury
Above: Julianne Hough and Cody Linely's jitterbug performance.
This story was just posted on Popeater:
Julianne Hough took a trip to the hospital after "Dancing with the Stars" with stomach trouble. The 20-year-old professional dancer, who's partnered with "Hannah Montana" actor Cody Linely on the popular ABC dancing competition, went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following the live results show Tuesday. The judges selected the pair to perform an encore of their jitterbug routine from Monday's performance show.
"She was experiencing slight stomach pains all day that increased and the doctors thought it was best to have them checked out," said Hough's publicist, Cindy Guagenti. "But she didn't collapse."
News of the incident first broke on TMZ, who reported that Hough had collapsed after a long day of pain. Now the dancer is at home and feeling well, PEOPLE reports.
"I was in so much pain. Afterward, I went backstage and curled up in a ball. That's when everyone said I needed to go to the hospital," Hough writes. But now, she's feeling better.
"I'm OK. I'm fine," she adds.
Multiple contestants and professional dancers have sustained injuries this season.
Reminder: Tapping Dads Tonight on "America's Got Talent"
Just a reminder to tune in to NBC's "America's Got Talent" at 8pm (Eastern Standard Time) tonight to watch Jimmy Peters and his Tapping Dads from Temecula.
Other dance acts from the show include Extreme Dance FX, Texas State Runners, and Beyond Belief Dance Co.
Which dance acts did you vote for? Which ones should get the boot?
Teaser: Tapping Dads
Temecula Dance Company's World Famous Tapping Dads
Just when you thought you couldn't catch any more interesting dance performances on TV, "America's Got Talent" has come through with a great bunch of dancers to get behind. They are called the Tapping Dads, a group of 18 fathers of children involved in the Temecula Dance Company in California. They are under the direction of Jimmy Peters, the AD of Temecula Dance Co., as well as choreographer Katie Morel.
Tapping Dads will air on "America's Got Talent" on Wednesday, September 3.
For more insider info on Tapping Dads, including an exclusive interview with Jimmy Peters, read on after the jump!
SYTYCD Play By Play: Finale
This is it! The finale. I actually boycotted last week because of the Will fiasco. He was my clear favorite to win for the longest time, and while it's really no big deal at the end of the day (because you know the guy is going to have a brilliant career), I was beyond disappointed and became sort of not invested in the show knowing he wouldn't be there. Still, I knew they'd bring him back for the finale, and I had to see if America at least picked the next best thing: Katee. Crossing my fingers!
SYTYCD Play By Play: Part Six
Welcome to a special two-hour play by play with the accompaniment of my two best friends, Shauna and Jeff. I've known the both of them since high school and they are now married to each other. Shauna is a fellow dancer, and Jeff was dragged to more recitals and competitions than he can count. Congratulations to the two of them on the birth of their beautiful daughter (and my goddaughter) Ruby Mae on June 30!
Read on to hear all three of our comments on last night's top eight performances.
SYTYCD Play By Play: Part Five
Welcome back to SYTYCD Play by Play. This week, America voted for the first time on who stays and who leaves the competition. Did you show more sense than the judges? Will we say goodbye to front runners? It's all in your hands now, so read on to find out how it all turned out!
SYTYCD Play By Play: Part Four
Welcome back, my dancer friends, to this week's edition of SYTYCD Play By Play. Wednesday night's performances were not as favorable to some of our favorite couples, who end up having to dance for their lives. Do the judges forgive one bad night and let them go? Will we lose a dancer who's never been in the bottom three couples? Read on after the jump to find out!
