Dancing on YouTube

It really is amazing how the internet is bringing us as dancers so much closer together. I say this because, while being a contestant in Show YouTube You Can Dance, my videos have received more views than ever before, sometimes in only just one day. I have nearly 200 comments on my round 3 entry and all I can do is stare at my blurry computer screen, feeling humbled in amazement, because so many folks from all over the world are watching me dance.

I looked at my sites statistics, and never had I imagined that my videos would be popular in the United Kingdom, or Canada, or Spain, and especially not somewhere like Guam.

Hi, i'm Teddy and i love to dance. Right now I'm in this really cool contest on youtube called "Show YouTube You Can Dance". The contest is much like so you think you can dance in that it relies on votes for you to advance to the next round. Also, the contestants must learn combinations off of an instructional video on youtube each round. The youtube public must leave a comment on your video containg the word "vote" in it if they wish to vote for you. got it? kay moving along.

Show youtube you can dance round 3 info!

I just finished learning our new combination for the next round of the competition. It was a little bit hard to learn because of the method of teaching the choreographer chose but luckily i was able to rewind. I really like the music, i actually went ahead and downloaded quite a few of the covers they had. Vitamin Sting Quartet. I havent come up with an interesting concept for my video yet, but i intend to video it this weekend and start getting those votes.
This round votes save only the top 5 dancers so its really important to vote for those dancers you think deserve to stay in the competition. Judges will be saving 5 of the 10 remaining dancers as well.

IN THE MEAN TIME... enjoy this video

New Choreo Ideas

As I was lying in bed last night I came up with an outline for a new work. This project has been at the back of my mind for months, years - but until now I have not had enough distance.  Have not felt strong enough to tackle it.

I want to make a piece that is mostly auto-biographical. It will be a duet between myself and a male dancer. The concept of the work will revolve around my dysfunctional relationship with my ex-husband.
