Welcome Home Sascha Radetsky

Remember him? Of course you do! After all, he was Charlie Sims from "Center Stage," the sweet and sweaty ballet heartthrob who won the hearts of thousands of young dancers with the line, ""Whatever you feel... just dance it."  I can remember many sleep over parties spent swooning over him with my dance friends... Anyways, here's the good news: After a brief hiatus from ABT to dance with Dutch National Ballet, Sascha Radetsky is back!

Check out the official press release from ABT for more info after the jump:

Well, the more I interacted and worked with male dancers, the more I realized that they too had their issues, hurdles, and obstacles to overcome. One being learning how to cope with a sort of reverse sexism, being a boy in an all-girls club. They had to learn how to overcome the negative stigma of wearing tights and make-up, and how to gain respect from a society that values machismo over artistry. Now, I'm finally beginning to fully understand the plight of the American male dancer.
