Macy's Stars of Dance on DWTS Featuring Tiler Peck

In case you missed it last night, here's a video of Macy's Stars of Dance from "Dancing with the Stars," featuring New York City Ballet principal dancer Tiler Peck. The piece, choreographed by Travis Wall, also features violinist Nuttin' But Stringz.

If you ask me, I think it was a little too much hype, a whole lot of tricks and not enough quality. Tiler Peck was beautiful, but the only thing they gave her was one measly little pirouette, and she was hidden behind a guy doing back handsprings! What a wasted opportunity.

What are your thoughts?

agreed

This dance was way too tricked out for my taste, and had so many different things going on all over the place that the elements really fought with each other rather than compliment each other. Tiler Peck wasnt used well at all. Over all, the dance just didnt really GO anywhere, it didnt build to any great climax or surprise, instead it just threw everything and the kitchen sink at the viewer so much so that the camera struggled with where to look. Good choreo is not a million backflips in a row, this more resembled an orgy of Olympic gymnasts all going at the same time. I guess Travis Wall just got overwhelmed with all the talent he was given and could not edit AT ALL.

History made on Dancing with the Stars

Nuttin' But Stringz performance not only mezmorized the live studio audience, but several DWTS contestants said NBS was the highlight of the show. I agree NBS could have been more in the front of the busy choreographed show, but I think the dance routine was awesome, the only thing missing was JAY Z. Friday they are live in Houston for American Heart Assn. benefit concert, and don't miss them on MTV Unplugged. Follow them on their blog: http://nuttinbutstringz.wordpress.com. thx.
