For the first time in ABDC history, an all-girl crew took home the championship on Sunday night. More media after the jump!

Sunday night on MTV, We Are Heroes was voted America's Best Dance Crew over other top contenders, Afroborike. I was so thrilled for Heroes, having voted for them myself last week after seeing the performance below.

While this season was full of firsts and had a ton of diversity, I think Heroes really brought it to another level, proving that an all-female crew could bring all the energy, athleticism and skills of any B-boy crew, even beating out tough contenders like Massive Monkeys and Rythym City. Congrats to you, Heroes!

I thought these girls were really powerful too. I think it's a shame that their last performance with fire isn't being shown via YouTube because it was one of the most powerful performances of the whole season.
