Pina Bausch
The German modern dance choreographer Pina Bausch died this morning, 5 days after being diagnosed with cancer. Bausch was the artistic director of the Tanztheater Wuppertal, which she founded in 1973. Video after the jump.
Phillippine "Pina" Bausch was very influentual as a modern dance choreographer in Europe, and a wonderfly expressive dancer. Here is an excerpt of her dancing.
This is just the latest in a long string of deaths lately, I thought things came in 3s but it seems like dozens! What are your thoughts about Pina? Have you been influenced by her movement?
