Dance.Com

For Immediate Release
Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

Joe Cote, Publisher of Dancer Magazine and CEO of Dance.Com LLC, is proud to present the dance world with some very exciting news. Dance.Com and Dancer Magazine are coming together under one new entity, forming the biggest and most comprehensive media outlet in the dance industry.

During the coming months, we will be transferring all 180,000 pages of our online content from DancerUniverse.com to our new, globally recognizable domain, Dance.com. Dancer Magazine, our flagship publication, remains the most prolific piece of printed media for dance studio owners, professionals and educators, and we are now proud to move all of Dancer's articles to a domain that reflects their quality.

Stay tuned for what is in store, as we aim to continue to grow Dance.com into the premiere spot for blogs, videos, articles, message boards, studio directories, competitions, conventions, performances and reviews. But it won't stop there. We will also be adding a fully functioning discount dance shop, self service advertisement purchases, contests, rankings and awards, and we plan to do it all in several languages!

As we embark on our 20th year, we have much, much more in the works for everyone who loves dance. We remain an independent, committed steward of dance, and we hope that the community continues to find every bit of infrastructure, information and support they will ever need within our pages.
