Kat Deluna Wants To Know... Are You "Unstoppable"?

Dancer Universe has teamed up yet again with United States Tournament of Dance (USTD)  to create another killer opportunity for young dancers-a FREE contest that gives aspiring performers the chance to tell the world why they are "Unstoppable!" Inspired by the song "Unstoppable" by hit recording artist Kat Deluna, this contest seeks to find dancers who are confident, determined, and most importantly, won't let anything stand in the way of their dreams.

Entering is simple-all you have to do is submit a short paragraph explaining why you're "Unstoppable."

Contest winner will be determined through a fan web voting process hosted by www.danceruniverse.com and will be announced on July 18, 2009 at the USTD Nationals in Atlantic City, NJ. Kat will award the prize personally, which includes a trophy, Kat Deluna Prize Pack, private meet and greet and photo. She will also be performing LIVE, so you won't want to miss it!

1. Eligibility:

Dancers who will be attending the 2009 USTD Nationals will be eligible to participate in this contest. Please note that If USTD National Entry Forms are submitted and do not include the contestant’s name as part of any routine entered in the USTD Nationals, that contestant will be excluded from the contest and their post will be removed from all contest web pages.

2. Criteria:

The “Unstoppable Award”was modeled after song lyrics and designed to seek out competitors who feel that they are in some way “Unstoppable.” This may include any life experience and does not have to be dance-related. Contestants must be age 12 or over (12 as of January 1st 2009) to participate in this contest.

3. Submission:

Submissions are due by June 5th 2009 and must include a small paragraph explaining why they feel they are “Unstoppable.” Contest entries must be made by way of our submission form which can be found on www.ustd.com/unstoppable/ . Once filled out and submitted USTD will select one contestant from each studio participating in the USTD Nationals and post the their photo and story on www.ustd.com and www.danceruniverse.com . This is a free contest and as such there is no charge to enter.

4. Web-Voting Process:

On June 9th 2009, contestants chosen by USTD to represent each participating studio will be posted and featured on www.ustd.com and www.danceruniverse.com for a three week period. During that time fans will have an opportunity to cast their vote for their favorite contestant through an unlimited web voting process. On June 30th 2009 the polls will close and a winner will be determined. The contestant with the highest number of votes will earn the “Unstoppable Award” which will be presented by Kat Deluna herself at the USTD Nationals in Atlantic City, NJ July 18th 2009. Results and stats will not be posted online during or following the contest. The winner will be announced July 18th 2009 at the USTD Nationals.
