I was debating whether or not to post this, but now that the LA Times, the NY Times, and The Associated Press have issued reports I'm pretty sure it's legit.

Alex Da Silva, 41, salsa instructor and choreographer who has appeared regularly on FOX's hit show "So You Think You Can Dance," has been arrested for allegedly assaulting four of his female dance students.

The LA Times reports that he was arrested 20 minutes before the end of a class he was teaching Saturday at a studio in LA, and that he is currently being held on bail for $3.8 million.

Detective John Eum of the Los Angeles Police Department said that the alleged assaults occurred between May 2003 and March 28, 2009. The accusers told police they were lured to his North Hollywood and Van Nuys homes where they were then raped, as reported by the Associated Press.

Anyone with information about possible assaults involving Da Silva is urged to call Van Nuys detectives at (818) 374-1926.
