"Baby I'm A Fool" by Melody Gardot

A few days ago, our associate publisher Katie turned me on to jazz singer Melody Gardot. I had never heard of her before, but when I saw this video for "Baby I'm a Fool," I went on to iTunes immediately and purchased the song as well as her first album, Worrisome Heart. Her sultry yet vulnerable voice is reminiscent of an era way before her time, and the video seems to give homage to the dance scenes in old Busby Berkeley films. The only thing I'm not digging is her Sarah Palin up-do and glasses. But other than that, Ms. Gardot is one classy and talented young woman. Also a courageous woman - she was hit by a car at the age of 19 and bedridden for a year. The only thing that brought her back to her feet was her love for music. So inspiring.

Watch "Baby I'm A Fool" until the very end... you'll see why. Enjoy!

Love this video and song.  thanks for posting.  Lush siren song and beautiful cinematography.  Definitely love the tribute to the Busby Berkley style.
