News from DC dance scene

Hello from DC!!

The months are flying by and I can't believe it's already March!

Here are just some quick tidbits about what is happening in DC and what is coming up:

~~~~~~~~~~~
This past week DC said goodbye to a very talented dancer.  Mary Saludares, one of Washington Ballet's company members was fatally injured when she was struck by a car 2 weekends ago while on tour near Baltimore, MD.
The 20-year old ballerina was from the Philippines and had been dancing since the age of 6.  She just joined the TWB Company this past year.
The company will dedicate their upcoming performance of Peter Pan at the Kennedy Center to Mary.
