SYTYCD-Thanks for a fun, relaxing evening!

Thank you for some fabulous dancing!

Thank you for some fabulous dancing!

SYTYCD final tonight-ahhh, it was a treat for my fried brain! Is anyone else having an incredible stressful day or week? At Satin Stitches, it has been crazy since Thanksgiving.

Generally, when we manage to make our deliveries for the end of November, it slows down. The craziness should mostly be over. Most years. But not this year!

I swear, some of you dancers just woke up and discovered that you had nothing to wear. And you seem to have no idea that it generally takes some time to design, create and then manufacture your special orders! That perfect, unique, custom dance costume for your team is NOT sitting on our shelf!

The scary thing is that many garment industry businesses CLOSE for one to two weeks during the upcoming holidays and UPS and Fed-Ex are busy, busy, busy and will also take some time off, so we have to plan to receive supplies and to ship to you. We lose many days in our weekly schedules.

But hopefully, all will go well, and our Satin Stitches elves will be able to finish everything in our workroom, and UPS will have time AFTER the BIG DAY, to deliver your new costumes by that magical date of January 4.

Back to today.
After our wild day at the shop today, I sat back and really enjoyed the wonderful dancing on So You Think You Can Dance. I had not watched every show this season, I admit, but I was familiar with most of the finalists. I caught bits and pieces of most of the episodes of this season.

I grabbed my laptop and double-checked the backgrounds of the dancers. I suspected that the tap dancers were gone. They were. I needed to verify that the married ballroom dancers were both still in. They were. It was really fun to see them dance together near the end of the show.

I have to say that I positively LOVE to watch dancing! I am thrilled that network and cable television has discovered that dance shows can attract viewers. Watching dancing is wonderful for the soul. Bravo! I look forward to tomorrow nights SYTYCD show. And then there will be the next season, right?

Is anyone else waiting for December 25 so we can get to the theater and see the musical Nine? Sorry Santa!

But then it will be back to work to finish all those costumes for our late-planning clients!
