Hi there !
My review this week is on the international sensation, STOMP. Bang, clang, slide, swish, stamp, stamp, clap, pause, clap, clap, pause. Dust pans, tubes, trash cans, brooms, washboards, even life rafts !!!! This show combines a percussive and musical tale with a clean up crew theme. It is a journey through sound, a celebration of the everyday and a comic interplay of characters wordlessly communicating through dance and drum.

There are tribal moments, girls swinging in harnesses above the stage, audience participation, synchronized sounds and much more. It is a full show that leaves you with an awe inspiring appreciation for how creators, Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas develloped the intimacy between music, dance and "real life sounds".

STOMP is currently playing in New York, London's West End, and on North American and European tours. STOMP has had international engagements including Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, South Africa, Israel, Palestine, Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Germany, Poland, Bahrain, and The Acropolis in Athens, Greece.

Clever show, STOMP has made numerous television appearances including The Emmy Awards, The Today Show,  The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Letterman and  Conan O'Brien. The stage show has spiralled out to subsidiary projects such as the IMAX film, Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey, the short film Brooms, their acclaimed HBO special, Stomp Out Loud and a series of award-winning international commercials.
