ARTS ALLIANCE ILLINOIS TO HONOR PAMELA B. STROBEL AND
HOMER HANS BRYANT AT THE 2009 AWARDS CELEBRATION

WHAT:        Arts Alliance Awards 2009
Arts Alliance Illinois, formerly the Illinois Arts Alliance, will celebrate dance in Illinois at its upcoming 2009 Awards Gala.

The Arts Alliance will honor business executive Pamela B. Strobel for her extraordinary contributions that have advanced the artistic and cultural lives of the people of Chicago and Illinois, in particular her commitment to The Joffrey Ballet and Chicagoâ€<sup>TM</sup>s vital dance community.

Also to be honored is Homer Hans Bryant, founder and artistic director of the Chicago Multi-Cultural Dance Center, which provides dance opportunities for young people of all backgrounds and is one of the top schools in the country for professional ballet training.

Special recognition will be given to Dance for Life, the largest performance-based fundraising event in the Midwest, which since 1992 has been raising awareness and funds for HIV/AIDS care, prevention and education while promoting the art of dance in Chicago and beyond.

Arts Alliance Illinois is the stateâ€<sup>TM<sup>s leading voice for the arts and arts education, uniquely combining advocacy, service and information to advance a creative and culturally vibrant state.
