Dancing on YouTube

It really is amazing how the internet is bringing us as dancers so much closer together. I say this because, while being a contestant in Show YouTube You Can Dance, my videos have received more views than ever before, sometimes in only just one day. I have nearly 200 comments on my round 3 entry and all I can do is stare at my blurry computer screen, feeling humbled in amazement, because so many folks from all over the world are watching me dance.

I looked at my sites statistics, and never had I imagined that my videos would be popular in the United Kingdom, or Canada, or Spain, and especially not somewhere like Guam.

This past year, I have grown so much as a dancer, expanding my horizons, in a sense, and getting much more involved in choreography as well. I am learning that the world really is our stage. That absolutely anywhere can be a place of inspiration, and that virtually everyone is a dancer... even if its only deep within their dreams. We can all be teachers, and are certainly never to old to learn, even if it is from our own students.

I am honored to be surrounded by some of the most hungry, passionate dancers around... HONORED.  This weekend I am looking forward to meeting and dancing with some dancers i have met only through YouTube and others whom i LOVE but only on special occasions are we fortunate enough to cross paths.

i love dancing!!

Kelsey
