Responsibilities:
Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, the longest continuously running dance festival in the United States and a National Historic Landmark, seeks an energetic, enthusiastic and highly capable Individual Support Manager.  This position will work closely with the Director of Development, supervise an assistant and seasonal interns, and be responsible for identifying, soliciting and stewarding individual donors (Members at giving levels of $2,500 and less), as well as creating organized and thorough department analyses and reports. Jacob's Pillow's comprehensive Membership program accounts for nearly half of the contributed income raised annually.  Emphasis is placed on increasing and strengthening the base of supporters through strategic acquisition, and upgrading and retention of acquired donors.

Specific responsibilities include:
Work with director of development and staff to design and execute individual giving strategy through targeted solicitations and events.  Manage and increase Membership in program for individual donors of $2,500 and less. Solicit gifts through direct mail, phone, and cultivation at Festival events. Upgrade donors, acknowledge gifts, and track new, lapsed, renewals and prospects.  Supervise rolling monthly renewal process, benefits delivery, and member communications.  

Manage donor events including season Gala, Ted Shawn Circle dinner, Producers' Circle dinner, student sponsor luncheons, and out-of-town cultivation events, working in tandem with Development Director and as liaison to events planners, caterers, vendors and food services staff.  

Responsible for Raiser's Edge database management and maintenance, coordinating with other departments to ensure accurate record keeping and report generation.  Supervise accurate gift entry, as well as timely reconciliation with box office and business office.  Utilize Raiser's Edge to create mailing lists and reports for targeted mailings, donor research, and information management.  Produce accurate donor listings for programs and other print materials.  

Work with marketing department and outside designers on concept, design, development and management of development print materials, including special event invitations, membership brochures, and other materials.  

Create direct mail and email campaigns to increase membership revenues. Create tracking systems and analysis of all campaigns for continual improvement of campaign productivity.  Coordinate with printers, mail houses and other vendors to ensure timely production and mailing of membership materials.  

Produce weekly and monthly income reports analyzing progress of donor appeals, special event income, institutional grants, board giving, and Membership retention.  

Other duties assigned at the discretion of the Director of Development.  

Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess excellent written, oral and social communication skills, and be well organized and detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, handling a fast pace and full workload.  Analytical, database and computer skills (including Excel) are essential, experience with Raiser's Edge and Access a definite plus. Candidates should possess a minimum of a B.A., and at least two years of nonprofit development/membership experience. A passion for and knowledge of dance is helpful, and outstanding customer service skills are a must.  Position requires six days a week and long hours during the summer Festival season.  Competitive salary and excellent benefits, as well as the opportunity to learn and grow at a premier arts organization in an idyllic rural setting.
