On Monday night, Dancer publisher Joe Cote and I attended the 2008 New York Dance and Performance Awards (aka The Bessies) at Spiegelworld on Pier 17, South Street Sea Port. Cocktails abound, the event was more like a beach party than a formal awards ceremony. Joe and I had a spectacular time mingling with the downtown dance scene and watching dance leaders and innovators honored for their work.
Meryl Cates already posted a wonderful entry about the goings on at the Bessies, so instead of regurgitating her post, I'll show you some of the photos I took during the evening. Enjoy!
