BEings: Dancer Introduction - Molly Weitz
Please allow me to introduce to you Molly Weitz. As a senior in high school, she is the youngest member of BEings. She is a very accomplished dancer for her young age!
Molly began her dance training at the age of eight at the Lumiere Ballet School on Long Island. She trained for eight years in classical ballet under the direction of Svetlana Caton-Noble and Venti Petrov.
Molly has performed with the Lumiere Ballet School in numerous classical full length ballets as well as performing new choreography on Long Island and in New York City. She participated in four summer intensives at Lumiere Ballet. In the summer of 2007 she participated in the Boulder Jazz Dance Summer Intensive in Boulder, Colorado. In the summer of 2008, she was accepted to the prestigious Lines Ballet summer intensive in San Francisco, and attended the Complexions Contemporary Ballet summer intensive, studying with Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson. Molly currently dances at Alvin Ailey, Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway taking classes in jazz, contemporary, and ballet. She is looking forward to continuing her dance studies at college next year, and acquiring a BFA in dance.
