Gev and Chelsi perform a passionate number.

Welcome back to SYTYCD Play by Play. This week, America voted for the first time on who stays and who leaves the competition. Did you show more sense than the judges? Will we say goodbye to front runners? It's all in your hands now, so read on to find out how it all turned out!

9:02: The Bollywood number is great fun. I couldn't stop tapping my feet, and I could tell the dancers enjoyed themselves. Loved the bold colors and the gorgeous makeup.

9:03: Alright! Congrats to SYTYCD for the Emmy nominations, especially Mandy Moore, Wade Robson, and Shane Sparks. Right on!

9:06: Looking at the recap, I'm thinking about which two dancers America voted off the show. Kherington and Mark had a rough night last night. Comfort and Twitch, by contrast, had one great number and one crappy one. But, for goodness sake people, you got rid of Comfort once, and I hope you do it again. I'm not trying to hate, but unless she's doing hip hop, contrary to her name, she really doesn't look comfortable on that stage. Here are my standings, as I see it this week: Katee, Will, Chelsi, and Twitch are my top four. Joshua and Courtney are up there too, and, if all goes accordingly, Kherington and Gev will probably go next week. I predict Comfort and Mark go home tonight. Let's see...

9:12: Oooh, Mia Michael's Ave was beautiful. Just...touching. I swear, every time I see a Mia number, I cry. I loved her use of the stage front for the first half of the routine. She incorporated it seamlessly into her choreography, utilizing the smooth arched shape of the stage, and contrasting it with sharp, angular movement.

9:15: Yay! Chelsi is saved. And, as expected, Comfort is in the bottom two. I wasn't even worried about Katee, who is obviously the star of the ladies. So now it's between Kherington and Courtney who is in the bottom two. And...Courtney is safe!

9:24: Mystery choreographer? This looks like Tyce Diorio to me. Awesome locking in the middle of the routine! That was hot. You don't see that a lot. I liked the hip hop angle to this number. Maybe this was a Shane Sparks number?? NO WAY! Nigel choreographed that?! I didn't know the man knew hip hop so well. Ohhh, Sugarpop helped with the locking and stepping. Okay, that makes a little more sense.

9:27: Joshua is safe! Love him. He's such a sweetie pie. There's no way Will isn't safe. Obviously, he is staying. Wohoo! Okay, so if America has it right Mark is in the bottom two. Yup! So it's between Gev and Twitch. Annnnnd, Twitch is safe! Excellent work, voters. You hit the nail on the head.

9:36: Time for the solos. This was a good solo for Comfort. One of the best I've seen her pull off. I do have a question, though: What's up with the hand on the shoulder? Seriously. For real, for real.

9:39: Mark's solos are always interestingly choreographed, but they don't seem to showcase a whole lot. Nigel said it right: He's quirky. But he dances a wee bit...femininely. It probably goes over very well in a longer solo, but in 30 seconds, it feels incomplete.

9:45: Here comes Kherington. She danced beautifully, as usual. Lil C had wonderful advice. She does need to take the judges' criticism to heart, but recognize they're only there to help. I feel like her confidence is down, and you can see it in her dancing.

9:49: Why was Gev's solo so short! I love watching him dance. Hate that he's in the bottom two, but love his solos. The choice of music was fantastic. I was hooked from the first second. And Oh. My. God. What an amazing hollowback freeze! Here's hoping we get to see him for at least another week.

9:54: Now it's time to decide our dancers' fate. Starting with the girls, we say goodbye to...Kherington?! What the hell? Now time for the guys. Farewell to...GEV? What the hell again!? This was all backwards.

Well, America got the bottom four right, but the bottom two wrong, in my humble opinion. Unless Mark and Comfort come out with some crazy stuff next week, I'm guessing we'll say goodbye to them soon enough. And then, it's anyone's game!
