Seeking a visionary dance educator

Ballet Nouveau Colorado has been providing exceptional dance outreach to schools and the community since 1992.  Our outreach programs reach over 20,000 individuals each year, and include full-time partnerships with four Title I elementary schools, extensive lecture demonstrations throughout the season, an acclaimed anti-bullying program, and a generous free ticket program for underserved members of the community.

We are seeking a full time Outreach Manager.

Qualifications

• Degree in dance or experience as a dance professional
  
• Teaching experience, which should include teaching both inside and outside the dance studio classroom
  
• Creativity and flexibility
  
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to effectively work with people of all ages, backgrounds and positions
  
• Passion for bringing dance into the lives of individuals who would not otherwise have access
  
• Proficiency in the Spanish language a plus

Responsibilities

• Proactively plan and manage educational outreach activities
  
• Advocate for and be the voice of outreach as a part of BNCâ€^TMs strong staff team
  
• Ensure implementation of all outreach goals as required by strategic plan, grants received, and other priorities
  
• Work closely with School Director and Artistic Director to create successful outreach programming
  
• Work closely with Development Director to understand existing requirements and to identify potentially fundable new programs
  
• Manage elementary school partnerships
  
• Create residencies tailored to meet curricular needs of each school
  
• Teach residencies in elementary school classrooms
  
• Schedule residencies, lecture/demonstrations, and all other programs
  
• Manage and implement evaluation process for all outreach programs
  
• Manage free ticket program, creating and maintaining relationships with qualifying recipient organizations

Compensation / benefits

• Starting salary $23,920

Seeking highly-qualified ballet instructors

Ballet Nouveau Colorado has been providing exceptional dance training since 1992.  In 1999, we became a certified Community School of the Arts, providing conservatory quality training to students of all aspirations.  Our syllabus is based on a mixture of the English RAD system, the Italian Cecchetti method, and the French system,  and our â€oeneutral” technique builds a great deal of strength and versatility.  As our students progress through our ballet levels, they begin the study of Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, and Pilates in order to build diversity in their technique.  We are committed to training in an anatomically specific and kinesthetically healthy way.

We are seeking part time ballet instructors.

Qualifications

• Degree in dance or extensive experience as a dance professional
  
• Teaching experience, which should include teaching both inside and outside the dance studio classroom
  
• Fun, exuberant personality
  
• Creativity and flexibility
  
• Commitment to high standards
  
• Familiarity with English, Italian, and/or French systems of ballet training and an ability and willingness to learn and teach by BNCâ€^TMs syllabus
  
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to effectively work with people of all ages, backgrounds and positions
  
• Passion for teaching students at beginning and intermediate levels
  
• Experience teaching Jazz a plus!
