Jump Rhythm Jazz Project - Chicago
Chicago's own Jump Rhythm Jazz Project recently won an Emmy for best performance in a documentary. Led by the amazing and groundbreaking Billy Siegenfeld, JRJP is looking for people who love to dance high-energy, full-bodied rhythms. Desired candidates include:
Jazz dancers who can explode energy out their bodies and voices;
Tap dancers who can turn the whole body into a rhythm machine;
Hip-hop artists who can mix popping with stopping on a dime;
Drummers who love to dance rhythm as well as play it;
Modern dancers who are aching to dance rhythmically;
Body percussionists of any type;
Musical theatre people who can throw the body and voice into performance with reckless abandon.
Bring current photo and resume. Jazz shoes or sneakers recommended.
The audition will be held Saturday, June 28, 2008, at 11:00 am, at Links Hall, 3435 North Sheffield Ave, Chicago. More info is available at www.jrjp.org/html/auditions.

Boston Tap Company - Boston
Boston Tap Company pushes visual and musical boundaries, and prides itself on not only entertaining its audiences, but also teaching them something about the art form of tap. Auditions will be held on July 19th at Riverside theatre Works, Hyde Park, Massachusetts. Junior Company auditions are from 10:00 am to 12 noon and Adult Company auditions are from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Chicago Tap Theatre - Chicago
Chicago Tap Theatre, one of the tap world's most innovative companies, is holding auditions on Sunday, August 10. CTT is known for its multidisciplinary approach to tap, combining tap with other forms of dance, and for its unique conceptual and narrative approach to the art form. CTT is looking to fill apprenticeship positions for its 2008-2009 season. There are opportunities for male and female apprenticeship positions only. Apprentices are offered performing opportunities, although compensation is not provided. Contracts run September through July. CTT is an equal-opportunity employer.
Auditions are held on Sunday, August 10. Registration begins at 2:30 pm and the audition itself begins at 3:00 pm. Auditions are held at Joel Hall Dance Center, 1511 W. Berwyn Ave., Chicago, at the corner of Clark and Berwyn. Dancers should bring a resume and a photo.
