Are you a dancer (or another kind of performing, literary or visual artist) who is a senior in high school (or who will be 17-18 years old on December 1, 2008)? If so, you could be eligible to receive support for your studies! Read on for more information, and don't delay - June 16 is the early deadline for registering for this fantastic scholarship program.
The Mission of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts is to recognize outstanding young artists, provide educational enrichment and professional development assistance in their pursuit of the arts, and to raise the appreciation, support and awareness of the arts in America to ensure the nation's artistic future. The NFAA is sponsoring a competition to provide funding to young artists, with an early registration deadline of JUNE 16, 2008. Don't worry, if you're not ready to apply yet, there's still time, but if you can save money - why not?
Many sorts of performing, literary and visual artists, including dancers, are eligible for this national support program, and some of the tap world's biggest stars - including Bril Barrett, Jared Grimes and Joseph Wiggan - are alumni. Check it out to see if you can benefit from this great opportunity!
