Take a Deep Breath
Life becomes so busy that at times you feel you must stop and Take A Deep Breath...
Did you ever get that feeling you need to stop and come up for air? As if you are being held under water...sometimes we just get so wrapped up in the daily grind that we neglect making time for ourselves. Sometimes you need to just STOP...and Take a Deep Breath.
Our latest performance at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington DC is just that- a moment to stop an breath. Appropriately titled, "Take a Deep Breath" is an opportunity to just relax, take a deep breath............and hold it. ...........
at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company for text based movement and dance by Jane Franklin Dance.
The performance includes straight forward dance pieces not previously seen in DC: Hand Hold, a duet and
Branch, danced to a string quartet and to exhale that big breath with a little laughter:
Same Place at the Same Time, performed to a barbershop quartet Leroy, with poetry by noted Washington DC author Reuben Jackson. Sound Walk, danced to the sounds, voices and rhythms of community participation workshops and Shorthanded.
The performance is a Monday evening, so as you begin another hectic week take a minute to "Take a Breath." Join us on June 23 at 8 pm at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington DC for "Take a Deep Breath." Purchase your tickets online at www.janefranklin.com to receive discounts and a complimentary dessert from Rasika or 701 Restaurants on the evening of the performance. TREAT YOURSELF!
