At Satin Stitches, We take the STRESS out of your Costumes!
Studio owners and choreographers, do you keep tight control of your costume creation for all your competitive dance lines? Do you spend way too much time worrying about designing, working with your studio seamstresses, buying fabric, overseeing the fitting of costumes, worrying about delivery deadlines and so on and so forth?
Many studios still hold everything close, causing more stress about costuming than with choreography and working with the dancers themselves. Why?
Maybe it is time for a change!
Why do you choose to spend so many hours fretting over costume issues? Is it because of money issues? Do you feel that your dancers cannot afford full-price costuming, created by a professional costume design company? Do you not trust a professional costume design company to work with your studio and create stunning, creative and affordable costumes? Do you not have a local professional costume design company that you feel has the talent and expertise that is up to your standards?
Let me make my case for working with Satin Stitches.
My daughter was enrolled in studio dance for over ten years, including two years on a competitive dance line. I also have a cousin who has had, and still has daughters in one of our areas best, most well known and prestigious competitive dance studios. At Satin Stitches, we have created solo costumes for dancers from various local and national studios. We are the premier custom, dance team costume and uniform manufacturer. Yet, we do not have many studios that we work with, for their competitive lines. I keep wondering why. I know why it is in Minnesota, but is it the same across the country? In Minnesota it is because most of the studios here in town, use STUDIO SEWING MOMS. Do not get me wrong. Talented mothers or fathers of young studio dancers can be very talented and very helpful. When you come across a big family of dancers, you are able to use them for many years, before having to train new parents in your studio ways. BUT, we occasionally hear various horror stories of fitting or style nightmares, which include the necessity of reworking costumes over and over again. Does this not cause a tremendous amount of stress for both the studio and the sewing moms?
We could take so much stress away, studio teachers! I realize that you are currently hot and heavy into your competitive season, and hopefully all your costume dilemmas and dramas are behind you for this season. But would you not like to work on your theme, consult with a professional custom company such as Satin Stitches and trust that your costumes will be created wonderfully, without all your micro-managing? It CAN HAPPEN!
With Satin Stitches, we DO NOT DUPLICATE designs, so you will NEVER see your costume on someone else! Creativity? We have it here! We work with your initial design ideas, and present options that will work with your theme, team and budget. We offer professional expertise to bounce your ideas off of.
As a full-service professional, custom performance costume manufacturer, we have all the expertise you need, and may have been missing with your studio seamstresses. We are a small company, who works together as a cohesive team. We have THREE professional designers on staff, all with degrees in fashion design. I personally, have over 35 years of experience with working with clients and their costume needs. We have computerized patternmaking and cutting, which creates precise styling and sizing with all of our garments. We have thousands of patterns in our CAD system and can easily create a new silhouette for your group. Our sizing. Did I mention that we have HUNDREDS OF SIZE OPTIONS?? We do not have just small-medium-large and extra-large. We have XS-S-M-ML-L-XL, all in short, medium and long lengths in our regular sizes, and then up to size 6X in womens sizes, similar sizes in mens sizes, and then XXS, XS, S, SM, M, ML, L, XL and XXL in child sizes, yes all in short, medium and long lengths! Additionally, we will cut X-Long lengths and further customize if you need. And do not forget about your big-busted dancers! We can cut the bodices to fit larger and extra-large bustlines. NO OTHER company will do all these sizes for you.
We also know that it is very difficult to measure and then pick sizes for your dancers from a chart. We have sizing samples in many different silhouettes, so you can have your dancers try on our sizing samples to pick the perfect fit. Again, we have created a size ordering policy that takes all the stress from you!
We know that cost is a big issue for you. The dance studios that we work with have worked this out, also. What do they do? They budget for using our costumes for a minimum of two seasons. This way, they can invest in a more expensive costume, but when you divide the cost by two, it actually may come out to be less expensive, when counting what is paid for each year. The studio retains ownership of the costumes, renting them out to the dancers each year, for a fee. Then if the costumes are used for a third season, this rental fee for the third year goes into the pot for brand new costumes. All it takes is some creativity in reworking costumes or themes, to allow you to be able to have a fresh look, for the second or third season.
Delivery Nightmares? DEFINITELY NOT WITH SATIN STITCHES! Why not? Well, we have a guaranteed delivery schedule that is posted on our website. We GUARANTEE your delivery date. In addition, when we can beat the date, we do. We ALWAYS meet our guaranteed delivery dates. That is just who we are, and who we have been for 30 years!
Give us a try! What do you have to lose, but lots of stress!
