More than two weeks have passed since Hurricane Ike blazed through Houston, and many businesses and home owners are still picking up the pieces. Luckily, one Houston dance company has emerged relatively unscathed. The Houston Metropolitan Dance Company has reached out to its supporters to let Houston residents (and other dance devotees) know that their dance studios reopened on September 22.

In addition, the company also launched a brand-new website. Check it out at www.houstonmetdance.org.

Does anyone else have stories about rebuilding after Ike? A dance studio that was damaged? Students whose families have been affected? We'd love to hear your own Ike experience and advice for others dealing with the aftermath.
