Dolly Dinkle's Off Beat Dance Blog: Dance dialects

Dolly Dinkle's Off Beat Dance Blog:

Hello Y'all! Dolly Dinkle is here to expose you to the world of off beat dance on the web. Welcome, enjoy my video diary and let's get weird!

Visit my blog each week for the zany, the exotic, the hip, the funny, sometimes most amazing and always the most fun you can have while watching dance videos while sitting in front of your computer!

It is officially December and that means it is Learn a Foreign language month. For some (obviously not you guys) dance is a foreign language. Since I know we all speak the same language here.....I thought I would kick off the month by sharing some fabulous dance clips from afar. So go ahead, and learn a new dance dialect!

This week's topic..............Dance dialects

Matt Harding Dancing around the world. This guy gets around and though his technique in the traditional sense is unorthodox, shakin what his mother gave him certainly adds a little something to the global landscape. (I HEART RANDOM ACTS OF UNIVERSAL DANCING).

Korean Bokko dancing. Enough said. Absolutely Superb! Watch it through to the end. You will not leave disappointed.

If you have seen the Yelle video you have seen some of these folks. This style of dance is called Tecktonik (AKA"tck","vertigo", "Milky Way"). The French do it RIGHT!

If you have not already seen this, you must watch it! See if you can figure out how she does that promenade?!? SICK.

A non dancer friend shared this with me and I HAVE BEEN OBSESSED SINCE. Belgian Jumpstyle.

I leave you with this. Evidentally this woman is a street dancer in Japan. I find her absolutely pure and hypnotic. You will see more of her here in the future. I may even start a fan club.

Well that's all this week and I hope that you are inspired to seek out influences from the far corners of the world. Until next week.........

Yours in dance,
Dolly D.
