BEings has been busy lately; always a good thing! Just wanted to give everyone a recap of what has been going on with us. Performances at FIGMENT on Governor's Island and the Judson Dance Theatre all in one weekend left us ready for a week off from rehearsal and excited for our photo shoot! Pictures and fun things after the jump!

BEings at FIGMENT on Governor's Island

BEings at FIGMENT on Governor's Island

We love performance! Who doesn't?! But, yes, I just started a sentence with the word but (not grammatically correct I know) BUT, we really really do love it. There is something so exhilarating about live dance (any dance really though!). Our performance at FIGMENT was a blast. We are usually early birds as I fully believe in that saying the early bird catches the worm. Well, hate to admit that we almost did not make the 1:00 ferry to Governors Island on Friday, which would have meant we bad things. As we sat on the train, I checked my phone for the time every 5 and a half seconds to see what time. But (there we are again) we made it! With less than a minute to spare. There was lots of running and then relieve as we stepped on the ferry (the last ones on might I add!). BEings performed at FIGMENT on Saturday as well, and welcomed our newest dancer for her first performance! Bridget makes a great addition and we are glad to have her. The Avant-Garde Festival at Judson Dance Theatre on Saturday night was a great time. Really, the space could not be any more beautiful to dance in and the BEings dancers looked beautiful. Now, onto the photo shoot. Philip, a wonderful BEings dancer, has gotten himself into photography. All pictures from the shoot were taken by him, how convenient having a dancing photographer! Makeup Artist Elizabeth Bank also came by to do the girls makeup and they looked great; her work is incredible. We are so excited to be performing and look forward to much more to come! BEings has two performances in July, one on the 25th at Our Lady of Good Counsel (230 East 90th Street) at 7:30PM and at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital on July 26th at 1:00PM. Hope to see some of you there!
