Jane Franklin Dance presents Incidence at King Street Gardens Park, in Alexandria, VA on Sunday, May 31 at 4:30 pm.  The performance is FREE.  King Street Gardens Park is a small park located in a dense urban space near hotels, office buildings, the local train station and a Metro stop.  The park is designed around a large metal sculpture, hanging gardens and sunken gardens, all of which are intended to provide references to historic aspects of the site.  

Incidence features a life-size kinetic sculpture that is manipulated by the dancers. The installation works on the principal of a Roulette wheel. In Roulette, a croupier spins a wheel in one direction, and then spins a ball in the opposite direction. In Incidence components meet by coincidence following the non-linear trajectory of chance.
