Dani Joiner - Finalists Response

In Response to Ms. Emily's Question :)
so i attended my first convention three years ago. and wow what a surprise to me! it was incredibly overwhelming but i loved every minute of it. since that convention i have been looking up every possible dance convention online that i could find and i have been trying my hardest to attend as many conventions as i can and in as many cities as possible! (ask anyone... i have a special calendar just to write down every conventions dates and cities) As a dancer out on the carpeted ballroom..... i always looked up to the teachers assistant and was in awe of what they had accomplished and i wanted to be in their spot so badly i could feel it pumping through my veins! so when i came to beyond this year and was selected as finalist, i could not believe the opportunity that lye ahead of me..... I could have the chance to be an assistant up on the stage! no way.... i swore i was dreaming! After Minnesota I couldnâ€TMt have enough of beyond so every day I asked and asked my mom to let me go to the upcoming city.... New Orleans. Finally she gave in after a few good cries I had with her about how dance was my life and I wanted to go so badly! I was so excited! Once in New Orleans I had an experience of a lifetime... the talent in New Orleans was amazing and I was truly moved and inspired! And the phenomenal people I met while in New Orleans were so welcoming, sweet and amiable! I had the opportunity of assisting 3 teachers Stacy, Trump, and Nick and once the classes were over I wanted to die! I was an assistant for a weekend!!! It truly was a dream come true!!!! and if I won the prestigious title of 2-Fary BeyonD.... I would have this opportunity every weekend! so please vote for me, dani joiner,  to help me continue to achieve my dream someday!!!! dance is my passion and my life, as I'm sure you have heard from many other committed dancers. but when I dance, I dance with my heart and my soul. dancing makes me happy and dancing brings joy to my life. when I dance I can just forget about everything and just dance. and whenever I begin to dance its such a powerful and freeing experience that is un-explainable. not only do I love dance for the feeling but also I love all the friends I have made through my journey. my team is basically my best friends and I spend so much time with them that they are like my family. which is why I love going to conventions and meeting other dancers across the country and it is such a wonderful opportunity to meet the people that share the same passion as you and to meet friends that will be friends for life! some people ask why I dance from 4 to 930 or 10 every night, doesnâ€TMt it get boring?! and I just laugh and say... are you crazy? Itâ€TMs like breathing. I cannot live without it

little miss dani

Thank you for your response. I enjoyed watching you dance throughout the weekend in new orleans and it was nice to meet a fellow dancer who says, "like" more times than I do. that is quite a challenge. I hope that next time you can take my class too? such a busy girl. I should have asked you to assist me but I didn't know the order of operations quite yet.  Good luck with the voting!! hope to see you soon, Emily Shock.
